Abstract

Contribution deals with the possible solutions for development of tourist industry in the countryside on example of microregion Termal that is located in the southern part of the Nitra district and north-east part of Nove Zamky district. It consists of 12 villages concentrated around the village of Podhajska. The main recreational potential of the microregion are the healing geothermal springs. Thanks to this precious natural source this region becomes an important recreational area not only in the region of Nitra and Slovakia, but the Czech Republic, Poland, Germany and Hungary.
