Transport Accessibility of the Municipalities of the Local Action Group Association of Municipalities of the White Carpathian and Trenčín Microregion and the Bošáčka Microregion as a Prerequisite for the Development of Tourism

Abstract

The contribution is focused on the transport accessibility of the Local Action Group (LAG) Association of Municipalities of the White Carpathian and Trenčín Microregion and the Bošáčka Microregion in the context of tourism development in the research area. Transport accessibility has an impact on the number of visitors to the various natural and cultural-historical attractions of the area and their transport not only to the area of the LAG, but also between its individual villages. The accessibility of the area by public and individual transport is an integral part of tourism, as it enables its implementation. Already when planning a visit, the visitor finds out the mode, time, distance and price of transport, which can influence his decision on which places to visit and which to include in his itinerary. In addition, good transport accessibility in the area and in the area, itself also has an impact on the positive attractiveness of the LAG as an area suitable for tourism and recreation, which is not mass in nature and respects the life of the inhabitants of the villages. The LAG is located in the districts of Trenčín and Nové Mesto nad Váhom. Road, time and cost accessibility of LAG communities were measured and analysed, particularly from the district towns listed above, which form important transport node in the region and provide access to visitors from more distant places. It was distance, whether by road or time, that had an impact on the level of accessibility of individual villages.
