Abstract

Regional products are becoming increasingly popular with consumers. They are unique, high quality and unconventional. Consumers are interested not onlyin the quality of products but also in their origin. When buying products, their brand also plays a very important role. Regional producers must become known to the general public. The article points out possibilities for cooperation for producers of regional products. It is important for them to gain anadvantage over competition from other regions through join their efforts. There are many organizations in Slovakia dealing with the promotion and support of regional producers. The article contains research through a questionnaire, the aim of which was to find out the awareness of regional labeling among consumers. The subject of branding strategy is no longer only ordinary consumer goods and services, but also interest associations, primary schools or sports clubs. After awarding a brand to regional product, the producer gets trusted promoted brand.
