Abstract

Nowadays the regional development belongs to a very actual and resonating theme. It focuses on economic and social activities which are carried in natural and social environment of the region. The natural conditions are part of his resources which present the potential of the region. Paper describes way how nature could have influence on the regional development. We will focus especially on the natural conditions in the Microregion of Handlová valley. One of the intentions of the association is develop tourism with using local natural resources. The aim of paper is define an impact of the natural conditions of area on economic and social growth of the microregion. Each chapter deals with different elements which are from various sections as a geographical location, geology, geomorphology, climatology, hydrology, vegetation, fauna and nature protection. The essence of article is identification and overview these unique landscape elements and their influence on potential of territory development.
