Abstract

The aim of this thesis was develope suggestions for improvement of the land use of Cadastral area of Tatranska Lomnica in regional development through the evaluation methods of landscape potential use on example of land use changes in two time periods (in 1953, and in 2014). We verified the methodology of mapping, analysis and evaluation of the landscape on the basis of application of mapping procedures that use remote sensing data. Than we use Geographic Information Systems software, and methodology of the ecological stability of the landscape. We reviewed the development of landscape pads and their spatial structure through landscape metrics within the meaning. The reduction in the areas of deciduous, coniferous and mixed forests classes, which was caused by wind storm in 2004, the growth areas of intermittent building of residential and recreational buildings class and the growth of areas of sports and recreation facilities class, are the main changes in land use. The results of the thesis is important for the development of the region in accordance with the sustainable development.
