Abstract

Paper is focused on analyzing the perception of integration of foreigners by majority population on a local level. Research was conducted on the model territory – Humenné town, where was placed an asylum center of Ministry of Interior Slovak Republic. Opening of an asylum center brought to majority people many doubts, fear and prejudices. The aim of the research was to determine through perceptive research the current opinions and attitudes and also examine the (in) validity of hidden prejudices of majority towards to foreigners who are placed in the local asylum center.
