Constantine the Philosopher University in Nitra (CPU) and Russian Peoples’ Friendship University (RUDN University) have successfully completed the work on the planned international project cooperation and partnerships in the framework of bilateral exchange program Erasmus + staff training mobility (project KA107). The academic staff of RUDN University was represented by the Deputy director of the Institute of Russian language, prof. dr. Svetlana Elnikova, head of Russian language department, prof. dr. Victoria Kurilenko and assoc. prof. dr. Yulia Biryukova during 22.11-26.11.2021.

One of the main purposes was to share scientific knowledge and ideas about a joint project being carried out by researchers from both universities, which is focused on issues related to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the quality of life and education of various groups of university students in a global context.

In this regard, key discussions with the Dean of Faculty of Natural Sciences CPU in Nitra, prof. dr. František Petrovič, the Head of Department of Geography and Regional Development FNS CPU, prof. dr. Martin Boltižiar, dr. Lucia Petrikovičová, dr. Katarína Vilinová and dr. Hilda Kramáreková were held. Future directions and perspectives in scientific collaboration, strategy for creating joint articles were discussed with an emphasis on the challenges outlined above. 

Assoc. prof. dr. Yulia Biryukova also stated that they were going to apply the gained experience at their home university and the newly acquired information was going to be shared with their colleagues. Prof. dr. Victoria Kurilenko, the leader of a Russian scientific group studying the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the quality of life and education of various types of university students in a global environment, expressed her delight with the outcomes of the joint project's discussion, including the new ideas for future research. Prof. dr. Svetlana Elnikova highlighted her expectations for future long-term research projects with Constantine the Philosopher University in Nitra, as well as mutually beneficial international cooperation.
