Abstract

The paper evaluates the current state of the regional development concept of the town of Topoľčany, within it represents the personal project of the regional development of the town tourism, it presents the background of the development in the next programming period of 2014 - 2020. At first, it briefly defines the area of the town, the past and present of the town. Then it describes the implemented projects in the town for the period 2007 - 2013. It also presents the current state of the town tourism development together with the proposal of the personal development project of the installation of information boards with the historical monuments in the town. At the end, it deals with potential future projects which mean the basis for the regional development in the next programming period.
