Abstract

The article deals with the use of mobile geoinformation technologies such as PDA, GPS and GIS in the field. One way of how to connect the work with GPS and/or GIS integrated in PDA is geocoding of addresses in particular territory. By working with these technologies, students gain practical skills and learn how the reality is transformed in GIS environment. Geocoding of addresses has a wide range of use in practice especially for localization purposes.
