The Nitrogen Oxides Emissions in the Nitra Region Air

Abstract

The air is the most endangered component of the environment. It relates with production, fast increase of energy, mining of raw materials, industrial activities, transport and requirement of growing population. In Slovakia the anthropisation has influenced live and non-live nature in a negative way. The emissions coming from the factory chimneys together with the traffic emissions (related with increasing number of cars) and residential density has the most negative influence on the environment. In the submitted work we present the status of chosen emissions (nitrogen oxides) in the Nitra region. We would like to present negative factors, which lower the quality of the air in this region.
