Cultural-historical Context of Hont-Tekov Microregion Disintegration

Abstract

The paper discusses the causes of the Hont-Tekov Microregion disintegration. The reasons why disintegration can be sought in addition to economic-legislative, also in cultural and historical context. We aimed to compare common features of individual communities particularly on traditional crafts, crop production, animal husbandry and population structure. The result is an analysis of the appropriateness of linking the various communities into a common unit and possible proposals for mergers of municipalities with the most common features.
