Abstract

Analysis of a potential of tourism in municipalities with extended authority, as well as a comparison, could be done using different methods and techniques, such as analysing the spending at the local level model, the cost-benefit analysis, multi-criteria evaluation of alternatives, or cluster analysis. The aim of this paper is to introduce a method which we believe allows an objective estimation of the cultural potential of the district. While working on this paper, we discussed with experts on architectural preservation and tourism in the city of Jihlava practical application of this method. We proposed to representatives of tourism in the town of Jihlava, how they could use the identified potential of tourism in their favour - in this regards our method could have a application value.
