The Current Situation of the Dolné Obdokovce Municipality Development

Abstract

What does mean to implement regional development? It is the way how the level of settlement unit can be increased. There are many different ways how to increase settlement unit. One of the ways, except financing from European Union, is elimination of problems in the region, and even profit on them in the future. Each community has some problems with regional development, and even the Dolné Obdokovce municipality does. We will discuss and treat these problems in more detailed way. We will point out the unwillingness of inhabitants to separate the waste and the presence of illegal landfills, unexploited potential of transport connection with neighboring village, and we will pay attention to low awareness of inhabitants as well.
