Abstract

Currently, we have the opportunity to see the gradual impact of suburbanization in Slovak towns and their surroundings. This phenomenon causes a change in the spatial structures of towns and rural municipalities as well as a change in the social structure of their inhabitants. The aim of this paper is to point to the impact of suburbanization of the Nitra Town and extension of the residential construction on an empirical example of the Golianovo municipality, which is one of its suburban municipalities.
