Abstract

The article describes the railroads in the Nitra Self-governing Region, their use in cargo transport, as well as their possible growth in the future. The article refers to transport companies having the most of transportation in the Nitra Selfgoverning Region. There are listed the number and types of commodities using infrastructure of Slovak Railways in the Region and its spatial distribution.
