Abstract

The aim of the article is to bring the vision of creating the cycle route and building their equipment mainly to appropriate municipal authorities. The practical part contains proposal of cycle route in Nové Zámky region with very inspectional description of bodies responsible for making the route and their main activities leading to developing cycle activities in Slovak Republic. The article is accompanied with pictures of the course of proposed route with height points, altitude profile and several surveys that were made to elaborate information about prices of equipment. This chapter was made by the method of field research to achieve accurate results. Next part consisted from characteristics of Cyclists´ Club of Slovakia that is the head organization in supporting of travelling on bicycle, creating new routes and marking them. Important part of article is dedicated to promoting the cycling by various campaigns or promotional leaflets. The last part is primary showing opportunities of financial sources from the European funds and programs and also other ways for supporting. Main achievement was to introduce activities of the proposal this cycle route and its equipment with emphasis on the financial opportunities. These activities are important for the reaching of regional development focused on creating the cycle route.
