Abstract
This article aims to analyze selected shopping centers in Bratislava and its catchment area. We examined the following specific retail environment issues: catchment areas. Data for this article were obtained as part of the VEGA research project. Results show catchment areas from selected shopping centers defined by consumer perception. However, effective use of consumer perception result and its GIS interpretation also depends on full integration of GIS into the tools of decision support tools used by retail managers.
