Abstract

The topic of cultural values is still not very common in geography teaching in Slovakia. The aim of this article is to introduce the topic of cultural values resulting in European Values Education project as an appropriate tool for making geography education more attractive. The article presents four basic principles which should be used to create pedagogical and didactical framework for lesson planning. There are also few examples of teaching materials suitable for values education in geography.
