Abstract
This paper analyses demographic processes connected with dynamic of inhabitants of Eastern Slovakia region in the last seven years, taking into consideration the data of the RegData database census between years 2001 – 2008. Eastern Slovakia region is formed of twenty-four territorial units with enlarged authorities (Bardejov, Gelnica, Humenné, Kežmarok, Košice-okolie, Košice I, Košice II, Košice III, Košice IV, Levoča, Medziloborce, Michalovce, Poprad, Prešov, Rožňava, Sabinov, Snina, Sobrance, Spišská Nová Ves, Stará Ľubovňa, Stropkov, Svidník, Trebišov, Vranov nad Topľou). The processes are following: total movement, its components (natural changes and migrations), natality, divorce, abortion, mortality. Through Web Method had been analyzed an influence of natural growth increment and migration balance of inhabitants on development of population in districts.
